What to Expect at Your First Dental Appointment
After completing your medical history and new patient form, a comprehensive clinical exam is conducted.
The New Patient Exam serves as the foundation of our dental care relationship with you. It is a thorough and personalized assessment that allows our experienced dental professionals to get to know you, understand your dental health history, and identify any existing or potential oral health issues. This examination is an essential part of your individual dental care plan to maintain your oral health. Since we have not yet ‘met your mouth’ we do not typically start a cleaning at this appointment. Rather, it allows us to provide you an individual hygiene frequency based on your periodontal needs.
Who needs a Comprehensive Dental Examination?
This comprehensive dental examination is essential for anyone who is visiting our dental practice for the first time or has not had a complete dental exam within many years. Whether you have recently moved to the area, changed dental providers, or have never received professional dental care before, this dental examination is an important aspect of your dental care.
New Patient / Comprehensive Exam
Our experienced dental professionals will conduct a thorough evaluation of your teeth, gums, jaw, and oral tissues. We also use advanced techniques like digital radiographs (x-rays) to evaluate your teeth and surrounding bone. A digital scan is also done as part of your examination along with measurements of your gingiva and bone levels.
We want to hear your dental concerns, understand your cosmetic desires, and address any specific issues you may have with your oral health. With the information gathered during this comprehensive examination, we will provide you with personalized treatment plan tailored to your individual dental needs. Whether it’s preventive care, restorative treatments, or cosmetic enhancements you seek, our goal is to provide you with exceptional care and a clear path towards maintaining your oral health
Thank you for letting us smile with you!
